It is an honor to represent the United States and to serve this country by attending one of our nations prestigious military academies. Attending one of these fine institutions moves to instill the core values of honor, courage and commitment in all students. The rigorous physical and academic standards of the academies challenge even the most accomplished individuals to reach for a new level of success. In order to gain admission, the service academies require applicant to receive nominations from Members of Congress or other national leaders. As Senator, I have the honor and privilege to nominate young men and woman as Candidates to the U.S. Military Academies.

Note: To maximize your chance for a nomination, you should apply to both Senatorial offices, as well as to the Representative from your district. Each congressional office sets its own deadline; therefore, you should verify the deadline date with each office to which you are applying. You must also open an Admissions File with each academy to which you wish to be nominated, and provide them with a separate copy of your materials. Congressional offices DO NOT submit materials to the academy for you. (Also, the Coast Guard Academy does not require a congressional nomination in order to be accepted. Please contact the Coast Guard Academy for further information and requirements.)
