Acorn Worm Genome Sequencing: Saccoglossus kowalevskii

The National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) currently supports a project aimed at producing a draft assembly of the genomic sequence of the acorn worm Saccoglossus kowalevskii. The genome will be sequenced to 6- to 8-fold sequence depth. The acorn worm sequencing project has yet to be assigned to a sequencing center; more information about this project will be posted here as it becomes available.
