Discount

Performs the individual discounting operations required in life-cycle cost analysis. Discount computes present values of future and periodic amounts, future values of present and periodic amounts, and annual-value equivalents of present and future amounts. Discount also computes the discount factors corresponding to each of these operations, enabling it to substitute for extensive tables of discount factors. It accepts non-integer discount rates, study periods, and price escalation rates and can access the DOE projections of energy price increases used in the BLCC program.
