Fellowships In preparing for a career in estuaries, coasts, oceans and the atmosphere many students seek fellowships. Fellowships provide great experiences for students and young professionals by offering hands on experience and opportunities for growth. Some programs that offer fellowships in such fields are listed below.
- NERRS Graduate Research Fellowships – The National Estuarine Research Reserve System’s Graduate Research Fellowship provides master’s degree students and Ph.D. candidates with an opportunity to conduct research of local and national significance that focuses on enhancing coastal zone management. Fellows conduct their research within a National Estuarine Research Reserve and gain hands-on experience by participating in their host reserve's research and monitoring programs.
- Local Estuarine Reserve Fellowship Programs – In addition to participating in the national Graduate Research Fellowship program, the following reserves support their own, local fellowship programs. Click on each title for more information.
