Purpose: EPA’s National Center for Environmental Economics (NCEE), in cooperation with the National Center for Environmental Research, is sponsoring a workshop “Advances in the Uses of Market Mechanisms for Protecting the Environment”.  The meeting will consist of a series of presentations by researchers from EPA’s Science to Achieve Results (STAR) grant program, NCEE, other EPA offices, and universities on the use of market mechanisms to achieve clean air, water quality, land use, and other environmental goals.  The meeting is open to all who are interested in and want to learn more about this research area.
