The Centralized Data Management Office (CDMO) is housed at the North Inlet-Winyah Bay NERR in South Carolina. It was established in support of the National Estuarine Research Reserve's (NERR) System-wide Monitoring Program (SWMP) that is currently implemented at 27 reserves in the US and Puerto Rico.

To learn more about the water quality, meteorological and nutrient parameters and units collected for the System-wide Monitoring Program, visit the National Estuarine Research Reserve System-wide Monitoring Program page at http://nerrs.noaa.gov/Monitoring.

Our Function:

The purpose of the CDMO, is the management of the basic infrastructure and data protocol to support the assimilation and exchange of data, metadata and information within the framework of NERRS sites, coastal zone management (CZM) programs, and other state and federally funded education, monitoring and research programs.

To learn more about the CDMO's activities and role, click on the About CDMO link in the navigation menu.

In addition to the data collected by the 27 NERRS System-Wide Monitoring Programs (SWMP) focusing on water and atmospheric conditions, additional coastal chemical and contaminant trends in sediment and bivalve tissue is available from NOAA's National Status and Trends program available at the National Center for Coastal Monitoring and Assessment (NCCOS).
