11036700 SAN LUIS REY R A COLE GRADE RD NR PAUMA VALLEY, CA — WEBCAM

Webcam home This webcam is located at the USGS stream-gaging station on San Luis Rey R. at Cole Grade Rd. near Pauma Valley (see map). This station provides continuous monitoring of certain river conditions such as flow and stage. The webcam provides valuable information to San Diego County Flood Control, the National Weather Service, first-responders, and area residents to evaluate real-time conditions where the river crosses the road. The visual record of flooding and potential debris flows also provides valuable research data for the USGS.

Overflow Crossing

San Luis Rey R. at Cole Grade Rd. Overflow Crossing This overflow bridge is designed to allow an intermittent river to pass over it. Such bridges are common for flashy rivers on rural roads. At times of river flow, the road may become impassable. Therefore, in addition to research benefits, this webcam provides for remote monitoring of dangerous road conditions.
