WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Today, the U.S. Department of Justice's Community Relations Service will cosponsor the "Conflict Resolution Conference for Peace and Security: Building a More Diverse Community" with The Ethiopian Community Association of Missouri. The conference will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Sheraton Clayton Plaza Hotel, 7730 Bonhomme Avenue, Clayton, Missouri.
"The conference is a powerful forum for us to explore racial tension issues arising from the ashes of September 11 and to assist the communities, businesses, and families in Missouri who have been personally touched by these issues," said CRS Central Regional Director Atkins W. Warren.
The conference will address issues related to racial ethnic profiling, balancing of civil liberties, and current laws.
