DeMint With S.C. WWII Veteran

Earlier today Sen. DeMint met up with 107 South Carolina World War II veterans in town to visit the National WWII Memorial in Washington, D.C. He spent some time visiting with them individually and later on made some brief remarks to the group as they gathered under a large tent for lunch to get out of the noon-day sun. Other members of the S.C. delegation stopped by to visit with the group as well.

Simpsonville Mayor Dennis Waldrop and his wife, Betty, accompanied the veterans on their trip, along with several other volunteers. For more details about the event, check out this excellent article in the Greenville News.
