Congressman Bilirakis supports making health care more accessible and affordable. He became the first freshman member of the 110th Congress to join the Community Health Center Caucus. The Congressman also voted to override the President’s veto of the bill which provides federal funding for important federal health care programs. He did so because the measure provided needed resources for cancer and biomedical research at the National Institutes of Health and for community health centers, which help provide health care to underserved populations, including many who lack health insurance. He also has cosponsored bills to provide greater flexibility in the use of Health Savings Accounts, expand LUPUS research, renew the community health center program, stop unwise Medicare imaging cuts, increase access to colorectal cancer screenings, and improve dental care. ![]() |
