Congressman Doug Lamborn (CO-05) issued the following statement regarding the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) graduation ceremony of 1,012 cadets on Wednesday morning:

"It was an honor to witness the graduation of the Air Force Academy Class of 2008. The rigorous academic and military training has truly molded each and every one of these young men and women into officers of knowledge, character, and discipline. Upon receiving their commission, I wish to commend their dedication to preserving the security of our nation. Colorado Springs is proud to be home to the Air Force Academy and the community support for the military is second to none. As part of the future generation of guardians of our great country, it is with pride that we see the graduates of the United States Air Force Academy join the ranks of the United States military."—Congressman Doug Lamborn (CO-05)
