Lamborn Speaks out on Interior Department Investigation

Congressman Lamborn Calls Government to Account and Speaks out on Interior Department Investigation

Washington, Sep 10, 2008 -

Washington, D.C. – September 10, 2008

Congressman Doug Lamborn (CO-5) today released a statement reacting to the investigation of alleged transgressions involving 13 Interior Department employees in Denver and Washington, D.C.

“Citizens demand integrity in their government. When the public trust and public resources are at stake, the actions of government employees should be held to the highest standards. If the allegations made in the Inspector General’s reports prove true, the individuals involved both in government and the private sector must be held to account. I urge the Chairman and Ranking Member of the House Committee on Natural Resources, on which I serve, to call a hearing on this matter immediately. Responsive, ethical, and accountable government must be the enforced standard.”-Congressman Doug Lamborn (CO-05)
