West Point, N.Y. – U.S. Rep. John Hall (D-NY19) will be welcoming area students interested in the United States Service Academies and the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) to Academy Day at West Point Saturday, September 13. Congressman Hall, representatives from the five U.S. Service Academies, and ROTC detachments from many New York colleges will be present to answer questions regarding nominations, the application process, and cadet life.
"America's Armed Forces need exceptional young men and women now more than ever. I am pleased to host this informational event for all those interested in learning more about the opportunities available through our military service academies," Hall said. "The incorporation of ROTC programs into Academy Day allows students with an interest in military service to see that there is more than one path to becoming an officer in the Armed Forces."
Those interested in attending Academy Day should RSVP to Matthew Schwartz in Congressman Hall's Goshen office. He can be contacted by phone at (845) 291-4100 or by email at matthew.schwartz@mail.house.gov.
