Congressman will serve on Disability Assistance & Memorial Affairs

- Today, Congressman Gus Bilirakis (R-Palm Harbor)
announced his subcommittee assignments for the Committee on Veterans' Affairs.
Rep. Bilirakis will serve on the Disability Assistance and Memorial Affairs
Subcommittee.
The subcommittee has jurisdiction over compensation; general and special
pensions for all United States military veterans; life insurance issued by the
Government on account of service in the Armed Forces; cemeteries of the United
States in which veterans of any war or conflict are or may be buried, whether
in the United States or abroad, except cemeteries administered by the Secretary
of the Interior; burial benefits; the Board of Veterans' Appeals; and the Court
of Appeals for Veterans' Claims.

with caring for the brave men and women that have answered our nation's call,"
Rep. Bilirakis said. "As an ardent supporter of veterans' rights I look forward
