Purpose
Since its inception in 1994, the NCI Cooperative Breast Cancer Tissue Resource (CBCTR) has provided the research community with specimens of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded breast cancer tissue with their associated pathologic and clinical outcome information. Thus far, specimens have been provided in two forms:
Effective immediately, the CBCTR suspends acceptance of further requests for custom case sets of full tissue sections, due to reductions in funding. Until further notice, new letters of intent for full tissue sections will not be accepted.
Investigators who have initiated the application process must submit their completed applications on or before November 15, 2008. Please follow the application instructions at http://cbctr.nci.nih.gov.
Requests for tissue microarrays WILL CONTINUE to be accepted (see NOT-CA-09-004). For further information, please go to the CBCTR website at http://cbctr.nci.nih.gov/tma2.html.
