USADF's Cape Verde Program

 

The United States African Development Foundation (USADF) entered into a strategic partnership with the Government of Cape Verde in 2003 to improve the viability of small enterprises and community groups that benefit marginalized people in Cape Verde with jobs and better incomes. The program's key strategies are to:

1. Provide development and expansion grants to enterprises and community groups to improve operations, and acquire technical assistance needed to expand;

2. Develop and facilitate reliable market linkages - building relationships between Cape Verdean enterprises and larger regional, and international markets;

3. Carry out intensive monitoring, evaluation, and remediation - assuring continuous quality improvement of quarterly, annual, and program performance goals.
