The mission of the Senator Richard G. Lugar Community Service Center is to assist residents of Northeast Indiana with access to programs, benefits and resources of the Federal government. In addition, we foster outreach initiatives and community partnerships through food drives, health screenings, volunteer opportunities, education & literacy programs and more.

The Lugar Community Service Center is located in Covington Plaza at 6384-A West Jefferson Boulevard in Fort Wayne. Covington Plaza is a stop on the Citilink bus route.  To access bus schedules and routes please visit Citilink's website or call 260-432-4546.

2009 Volunteer and Service Fair!

Senator Lugar's Northeast Indiana Community Service Center will host a Volunteer and Service Fair on Saturday, August 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Allen County Public Library-Downtown, 900 Library Plaza in Fort Wayne. The event is intended to make students in Northeast Indiana aware of various volunteer and service opportunities this fall.

Current 2009 Volunteer and Service Fair attendees include:

American Red Cross, ACRES, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Indiana, Boys and Girls Clubs of Fort Wayne, Charis House, CANI, Catholic Charities, Community Harvest Food Bank, Erin's House, the Literacy Alliance, Little River Wetlands, Parkview Hospital, Rescue Ministries, Science Central, Study Connection, Women's Enterprise Center, and World Relief.
