Dear Friends:

Last month we had the exciting annual opportunity to attend the United Way Minority Volunteer Recognition breakfast and visit the exhibits at the INShape Black and Minority Health Fair as part of the Indiana Black Expo.

The breakfast is an inspiring reminder of the importance of volunteer service, regardless of age or background, and the impact it can have on a community. The individuals honored logged countless hours of service to others and their collective impact is immeasurable.

The health fair is a wonderful resource that offers numerous free tests and screenings. Eating well and maintaining a healthy lifestyle are important habits to create at a young age and continue long through life.

My visit ended on yet another high note. I enjoyed breakfast with the interns currently serving in our Indianapolis office. A dedicated and intelligent group, they have assisted my staff in Indianapolis with requests from Hoosiers for assistance with the federal government.

Thank you, as always, for reading my newsletter.

Sincerely,

Dick Lugar
