The collection represents a 30-year effort to document graphically the 19th and early 20th century history of the Senate, the Capitol, and American political history. Represented in the collection are some of the most notable artists who worked in the printmaking medium, including Rembrandt Peale, Thomas, Nast, and Joseph Keppler.
