Special Notice to Community Based Dental Partnership Grantees and Dental Reimbursement Applicants

APPLIES TO: All institutions that are eligible to submit 2009 Dental Services Reports (DSRs) for both the Community-Based Dental Partnership Program (CBDPP) and the Dental Reimbursement Program (DRP).

NOTICE: You may use the same Database Utility to submit your data for both programs. However, because of the nature of the DSR Database Utility, either Section 5 (Additional Dental Reimbursement Program Information), or Section 6 (Additional Community-Based Dental Partnership Program Information) will be "hidden," depending on which program you select in item #2.

To ensure that data you enter in these two sections are retained and properly submitted, please follow the steps below.

1. Enter the data for your DRP program first.
2. Validate the Report, create the export file, generate the validated PDF for upload to Grants.gov, and print a copy for your records.
3. Copy the export file for DRP and paste in a new location.
4. Submit the DRP Report to Data Support and to Grants.gov.
5. Complete the DSR for your CBDPP program by first checking the "Submit data for the CBDPP" box in item #2 and then completing Section 6. The information in Sections 1-4 will be retained; Section 5 will be disabled.
   Note: Because the reporting periods for CBDPP and DRP are different, the data will also be different. Please overwrite the data retained in Sections 1-4 as appropriate.
   
6. Validate the Report, create the export file, and print a copy for your records.
   
7. Submit the CBDPP Report to Data Support.
   
   Alternatively, you may install the Utility on two separate PCs. Either way, Data Support will e-mail confirmation of both the DRP and CBDPP submissions upon receipt.
