Hoyer Makes Delivery to Prince George’s County Food Pantry

Announcement of New Principals Institute at Bowie State University

BOWIE, MD - Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (D-MD), Bowie State University President Mickey L. Burnim, and Interim Superintendent of Prince George’s County Public Schools Dr. William Hite held a press conference to announce a new federally-funded Principals’ Institute at Bowie State to train and certify Prince George’s County educators who want to become administrators and to enhance the skills of those already in leadership positions.

Hoyer, Superintendent Grasmick Celebrate Success of Early Childhood Education Programs

Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (D-MD) joined Maryland State Superintendent of Schools, Nancy S. Grasmick in presenting awards for excellence in Maryland’s early childhood education and family service programs known as Judy Centers.

2008 Art Congressional Art Competition

Congressman Steny H. Hoyer welcomed the winner of the 2008 5th Congressional District Congressional Arts Competition, Riva resident Ian Goldin, to the U.S. Capitol for the unveiling of the young artist’s winning entry, a digital photograph of a city street scene titled “Shadows Passing By.”
