Congressman Thompson currently serves on the powerful House Ways and Means Committee. The Ways and Means Committee has wide reaching jurisdiction over many issues including, Social Security, Medicare, health care financing, international trade and tax reform.
Congressman Thompson also serves on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence. He is Chairman of the committee's Subcommittee on Terrorism, Human Intelligence, Human Analysis and Counterintelligence. He also serves on the Subcommittee on Community Management.
