TWU Athletes Post Record Setting GPA

The 89 women on the fall rosters of the Pioneers’ five NCAA Division II intercollegiate athletic teams (basketball, gymnastics, soccer, softball, and volleyball) recorded a cumulative 3.409 grade point average – the highest in the history of TWU athletics - during the recently completed fall 2008 semester. This marks the 53rd semester in a row (more than 26 full academic years) of a cumulative semester GPA of 3.0 or higher by the Pioneers. More on "TWU Athletes Post Record Setting GPA"...

Dr. Nancy DiMarcoDr. Nancy DiMarco, professor of nutrition and food sciences at Texas Woman’s University, was selected as co-recipient of the 2009 SCAN Achievement Award. The award is the highest honor presented by SCAN (Sports, Cardiovascular and Wellness Nutritionists), a dietetic practice group of the American Dietetic Association (ADA).
