Glenn Ford received his B.S, summa cum claude, in Computer Science from the University of Maryland in 1991 and M.S from Johns Hopkins University. Mr. Ford has been working with computers since 1980. His recent clients include DAPO (Defense Audio/Visual Policy Office), Citicorp Credit Services, and West Group Publishing. For the last three years has been working with Lister Hill National Center for Biomedical Communications, the research and development arm of National Library of Medicine. Mr. Ford is a lead developer for the MARS I and MARS II systems being developed by the Communications Engineering Branch at LHNCBC.


Current Projects

Interactive Publications: Lead software developer for ITAG (Interactive Tables and Graphs) for the Interactive Publications (IP) project. This application is written using the Eclipse Rich Client Platform user interface using Java. The software component is developed using Eclipse plug-in technology to facilitate the ability to grow with the IP goals of a fully self contained document for both Author and Reader.

MD on Tap (MEDLINE on Tap): Lead software developer for the MD on Tap (MDoT) research project. MDoT is an application for the PDA that facilitates Internet access to NLM's MEDLINE database using PubMed utilities. The client is written in C++ using CodeWarrior 9.0 for the Palm and Embedded Visual C++ 4.0 for Windows Mobile /Pocket PC and the servlet is in Java with Tomcat.
