Resolution of Inquiry -- Just Another GOP Stunt

May 7, 2009 (WASHINGTON) – Today, Rep. Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS), Chairman of the Committee on Homeland Security, issued the following statement regarding the Resolution of Inquiry requested by House Republicans:
“A resolution of inquiry is the nuclear option when the House has been stonewalled by a Federal agency. The Department of Homeland Security has been forthcoming and responsive to this Committee. This is clearly another GOP stunt aimed at embarrassing the new Administration.”
