King Measure to Restore Nuclear Detection to New York Area Passes House

(June 24, 2009) — Today, U.S. Rep. Peter T. King (R-NY), Ranking Member of the Committee on Homeland Security hailed passage of his amendment that would restore funding to the Securing the Cities program, a partnership between federal, state and local authorities to prevent nuclear and radiological terrorists in the New York metropolitan area.  The amendment, coauthored by Rep. Yvette Clark (D-NY) passed the House by a vote of 282-148.

King Hails Passage of Amendment to Add Guantanamo Detainees to No Fly List
(June 4, 2009) - Today, U.S. Rep. Peter T. King (R-NY), Ranking Member of the Committee on Homeland Security hailed the House passage of a provision that would require that Guantanamo detainees be placed on the No Fly List.  The motion was added to the TSA Authorization Act by an overwhelming vote of 412-12.
