Testing Component

An optional testing component for the DNA Analyst Training Program is available for most training modules. The tests allow Technical Leaders to monitor students' progress in the program and to export final scores.

The courses and tests can be used to aid in new analyst training, remedial training and topic review for court preparation. The quizzes are structured to evaluate the student's comprehension of course content.

The tests use a secure question bank with randomized questions and the program allows for automated grading with adjustments and overrides as needed. Each student has two opportunities to access a quiz.

Restrictions

Only those employed by a public crime laboratory in the United States or a private laboratory with contracts or seeking contracts to perform DNA analysis for public crime laboratories in the United States are eligible for the testing component.

  • Name of laboratory.

  • Student's e-mail address.
  • Name of Technical Leader.
  • Technical Leader's e-mail address.

Please note that NFSTC cannot provide test questions directly to laboratories.
