U.S. Congressman Michael C. Burgess, M.D. 26th District of Texas

Health Care

As a doctor for over 21 years serving the people of North Texas, I know how important health care is to each individual. Now, serving as your U.S. Congressman, I am committed to reforming our health care system to make it more affordable and accessible.

On April 8, 2008, I participated in a event hosted by the Center for Healthcare Transformation, which is headed by former Speaker Newt Gingrich.  The event, "Better Health, Lower Cost: Examples from the Real World", brought to Capitol Hill four successful industry leaders to discuss how their real-world innovative techniques have led to improvements in America's health care.  To learn more about this event, read about the participants and their successful business models, and to watch the video of the event, click here.
