This course is not available on DNA.gov. It is a non-credit course offered by the West Virginia University. 

The materials in this self-paced course have been gathered to assist DNA analysts in learning the preliminaries of forensic hair examination (it is not a full hair course).

Registration and Cost 

Public laboratory employees may take the course free of charge through funding from the National Institute of Justice by obtaining supervisor approval and submitting a simple form.

For other students, the course costs $177 per registration. 

A certificate for course completion will be issued to all students upon completion.
