Senator Dorgan is a strong supporter of Social Security, one of our nation's most successful programs and a reliable safety net for millions of Americans. He strongly opposes efforts to privatize and weaken this important program, and believes it needs to be safeguarded for our seniors and for future generations.
Senator Dorgan understands that as a rural state with a high population of seniors, North Dakota relies on Medicare to provide quality health care to many of its residents. He opposes cuts to Medicare funding, and continues to fight to see that providers in rural states like North Dakota have fair reimbursements that allow healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality service.
