Improving the Service of the Federal Bureaucracy“One of my guiding principles has always been that the bureaucracy should serve, not rule, the people. The people have entrusted the agencies of the federal government with efficient use of their tax dollars, and federal agencies must act in accordance with that responsibility. For this reason, I have undertaken oversight of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) where one of my chief concerns has been with the inefficient and irresponsible manner in which the EPA awards billions of taxpayer dollars each year in grant programs and the substantial amounts EPA awards to extremist environmental groups more interested in misleading the American public and pursuing their own purely politically partisan agenda than doing anything to actually improve the environment.”- Senator James M. Inhofe Related Records:Recent Press Releases*
