The Vermilion Parish Coastal Protection/ Restoration Advisory Committee
(VP-CPRA) would like to invite all Vermilion Parish residents to attend a
TOWN HALL MEETING on Thursday, November 13, 2008 at 6:00 PM at the Abbeville
High School Auditorium, 1305 Wildcat Drive, Abbeville, LA 70510. This
meeting will feature speakers regarding hurricane surges, saltwater
intrusion and all issues of the recent hurricanes which affect Vermilion
Parish's and the nation's economy. The VP-CPRA will present the Parish's
Hurricane Protection/ Restoration Plan which addresses measures that will
reduce storm surge by creating multiple line of defense for Vermilion
Parish. Also, the Vermilion Parish Police Jury will discuss the Vermilion
Parish Hurricane Flood Protection and Drainage District.
