Breaux Act Newsflash - The results of the February 1, 2006 Coastwide Voting meeting have been posted

The results of the February 1, 2006 Coastwide Voting meeting have been
posted. The 20 nominees and 6 demonstration nominees for CWPPRA Priority
Project List (PPL) 16 were selected by the CWPPRA agencies and participating
parishes during the Coastwide Voting meeting in Baton Rouge, LA.

In accordance with the PPL16 process approved by the Task Force, the CWPPRA
Technical Committee will meet on March 15th, 2006 in New Orleans, LA to
select 6 candidate projects and up to 3 demonstration candidates for further
evaluation under PPL16. Public support/comments for the PPL16 nominees will
be heard at the March 15th meeting. In addition, letters of support/comments
can also be sent to the Technical Committee Chairman, Mr. Greg Breerwood
(P.O. Box 60267, New Orleans, LA 70160) by MARCH 8th, 2006 for dissemination
to the Technical Committee members. Fax or email are preferred methods to
deliver letters of support/comments due to the slow mail conditions in the
