The Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana invites you to attend the
inaugural conference:
Securing the Future of Coastal Louisiana

Saturday, March 13, 2004; 9:00 a.m.
River Oaks Event Center
520 East Kaliste Saloom Road
Lafayette, Louisiana

This one day event will begin at 9:00 am on Saturday, March 13 at the River
Oaks Event Center in Lafayette, Louisiana and will feature a broad range of
sessions designed to inform attendees about how everyday citizens can
better understand and get involved in the restoration of Louisiana's coast.

Whether we live, work or recreate in Louisiana's coastal zone, we all share
a common interest in preserving and restoring this valuable resource. In
an effort to help everyone in Louisiana play a part in the restoration of
our coast, the Coalition to Restore Coastal Louisiana invites all those
interested to attend our inaugural conference on "Securing the Future of
Coastal Louisiana."

Conference participants will hear different perspectives on the state of
our coast and the efforts to save it and learn more about:
*Understanding our Coast: Its nature, Its values and the roots of the
crisis
*Restoring our Coast: The elements and challenges of successful
restoration
*Celebrating our Coast: Making the most of living and recreating in our
coastal waters and wetlands.
*Making a difference: How to become a more responsible steward of our
coast.

Program Schedule
9:00 a.m - 9:30 a.m. Registration and Welcome

9:30 a.m -10:45 a.m. Opening Session:
"Perspectives on the State of our Coast and the Effort to Save It."

10:45 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Break

11:00 a.m. -12:15 p.m. Concurrent Sessions:
1. Understanding our Coast: Its nature, its values and the roots of the
crisis
2. Restoring our Coast: The elements and challenges of successful
restoration
3. Celebrating our Coast: Making the most of living and recreating in
our coastal waters and wetlands.
4. Making a Difference: How to be a responsible steward of our coast.

12:15 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. Lunch

1:00 p.m - 2:15 p.m. Concurrent Sessions: Sessions repeated

2:15 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Break

2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Panel Discussion/ Conclusion

The conference is free to all Coalition members. Registration for
non-members is $10.00.

Conference attendees are also invited to attend the Ninth Annual Coastal
Stewardship Awards Banquet following the conference at 6:00 p.m. Tickets
for the Awards Banquet are $35.00 for all attendees and those interested
should remit the form found on the Web at
