Born Abigail Powers, Mrs. Fillmore was a maverick of the antebellum period.
March 2009 - Former First Lady Abigail Fillmore was born this month in Stillwater, Saratoga County, New York. Born Abigail Powers, she was the youngest of seven children born to Abigail and Lemuel Powers, a Baptist minister.
