AESDirect Upgrades

The AESDirect Service will be upgraded this weekend with enhancements designed to further simplify the SED submission process. These changes will be completed by 7/15/2001 and will not interrupt filing on AESDirect. The changes are:

Notice of Prior Waiver Flag

AESDirect WWW Interactive Application: The Notice of Prior Waiver flag will be removed from the AESDirect interactive application (Shipment Information screen). Until further notice all AESDirect submissions will be sent to AES with this flag set to N.

EDI Filers: This change does not affect EDI Filers.

WebLink Filers: If this flag is sent to the WebLink interface it will be ignored and the value set to N

Conversion Help Link

A new help link will be placed in the AESDirect WWW interactive application - Line Item screen. This help link will provide information to assist users in the conversation of gross weight and commodity units of measure items. This help line requires Acrobat Reader.
