The National Sustainable Design Expo featuring EPA's Annual P3 (People, Prosperity, and the Planet) Event is held annually on the National Mall in Washington, DC, for three days in April. Previous Expos have been extremely successful, and this year's is expected to be even better.
By demonstrating or exhibiting your environmentally sustainable technology, product, or business model during this three-day event, you will have a rare opportunity to interact with other environmentally conscious exhibitors from industry, universities, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations. If you are with the government, a university or a nonprofit organization, there is NO CHARGE for space to exhibit at the National Sustainable Design Expo.
As with any event on the National Mall, you can expect attendance from the general public, visitors from nearby offices, and attendees from:
- The General Public
- The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency
- Other federal agencies
- Nonprofit groups
- The scientific community
- Industry, and
- Media
Each year, EPA awards grants to teams of university students to research, develop, and design sustainable solutions to environmental challenges around the world. The teams present their projects with posters, models, and, in some cases, full-scale prototypes as they compete for additional funding to further design, develop, and implement their projects.
The P3 event also gives your organization a chance to meet the college students who are studying to be future leaders in science, technology, and policy for sustainability from a wide-range of disciplines. This gives your organization a chance to recruit future employees and students an opportunity to meet potential future employers.
Technology developers and other sustainability-driven businesses will be able to meet and encourage the future stewards of sustainability.
Call early to reserve your place at what is sure to be the most innovative environmental event of 2009!
