Summer Camp Sets Lawmakers' Kids Straight

"Congressional kids" figure out exactly what parents do for a living, how government really works

“Why doesn’t the National Mall have any stores?"

The Capitol Experience Summer Enrichment Program is designed to answer this and other questions children may have about where their parents work.

The program, which is run by the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer, is designed to keep kids active all summer long in both mind and body. Children's days are filled with activities and adventures that will not only ensure they are happy campers, but will also help them grow into educated citizens.

Children ages six to 13 can experience the camp in one of three, two week sessions that run Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
