House Page Program

A House page is a high school junior hired by the U.S. House of Representatives to live, work, and study in Washington, D.C., usually for an entire semester during the school year. During this time, pages are employees of the House, and their duties consist primarily of delivering correspondence, legislative material, and small packages within the Congressional complex. Additional responsibilities may include answering phones in the Members’ Cloakrooms, preparing for House Floor sessions, or monitoring a telephone bank of incoming requests for page services.

Because of the popularity and prestige of this exclusive program, page candidates must be nominated by a Member of Congress, and members are typically granted only one page every two to four years.

For more information on the House Page program, please contact Brooke Dorobiala in Congressman John Kline’s office at (952) 808-1213.
