Hall to Take Hudson Valley Health Care Priorities to Congressional Leadership
Thursday, July 9, 2009
- Hall Requesting Public Comments and Opinion on Health Care Reform -

Washington, DC - With potential health care reform being debated in Washington and across the country, U.S. Rep. John Hall (D-Dover) is asking Hudson Valley residents to share their opinions, stories and concerns with him. Hall will take this feedback and present it to Congressional Leadership when he meets with them this Friday.

Anyone interested in sharing their opinion or story regarding health care can do so at Hall's website: www.johnhall.house.gov.

"More than any other issue, what we do on a national level with health care will affect people every day in a personal way," said Hall. "This is obviously a crucial issue for all of us. We all know that our health care system in this country is broken and we need to fix it."

Last month, Congressman Hall began a listening tour and held roundtable discussions with patient advocacy and public health organizations, business leaders, healthcare providers, and hospitals to help him evaluate what needs to be done to reform America's health care system.

Hall will take the input obtained from his listening tour along with the comments he receives on his website to Congressional Leadership this Friday when he meets with them to outline his priorities for health care reform.

"Each of my constituents has been a patient and has a unique health care story to share," said Hall. "I will listen to their experiences and think of them as Congress moves forward on any legislation."
