Bills Phil has Introduced in the Current Congress

Designates the facility of the United States Postal Service located at 2105 East Cook Street in Springfield, Illinois, as the "Colonel John H. Wilson, Jr. Post Office Building."

Establishes the position of Director of Physician Assistant Services within the office of the Under Secretary of Veterans Affairs for Health.

Commemorates the life and legacy of President Abraham Lincoln on the bicentennial of his birth.

Requires that all articles, materials and supplies sold or used by the Legislative Branch agencies, particularly those items with a Congressional Seal, are made in the United States.

Aims to strengthen corporate responsibility for the safety and health of employees, and improve OSHA's ability to inspect large, multi-site companies by requiring large employers to report on the numbers and rates of work-related deaths, injuries, and illnesses at all their worksites.

Mandates the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to dedicate funding for a National Media Outreach Campaign on homelessness to inform veterans of the benefits and rights entitled to them under the law and where they can turn for help.

Gives schools the flexibility and support to implement, expand, and sustain the use of school-wide Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) systems, proven to improve school learning environment, increase academic achievement, and reduce school dropout rates and school violence.

Assists states with improving and expanding high-quality preschool programs in rural communities.

Instructs the Treasury Secretary to establish policies which prohibit excessive or luxury expenditures by any recipient of federal assistance under the Emergency Economic Stabilization/TARP program.

Raises awareness and educates the public about fragile X syndrome and associated disorders; and supports increased funding for research into the causes, treatment, and cure for fragile X.

Establishes the "Veterans Engaged for Tomorrow Corps" to engage veterans and retired military personnel in national and community service projects to help other veterans and their families.
