An exhibit highlighting our state's features - history, land, weather, animals, people and places of interest!


Free Admission Nights
Every Wednesday night in July and August beginning on July 8th

The Museum will be open until 8:00 pm on Wednesday evenings in July and August with free admission beginning at 5:00 pm. "Iowa: An American Portrait" an award winning documentary film done in 1996 will be shown at 5:30 pm and again at 6:30 pm in the auditorium; the show runs 60 minutes. The museum galleries will close at 8 pm.


Laura Ingalls Wilder Remembered
September 7, 2009

Celebrate the author of the "Little House" books and her life on the prairie. The program will begin at 1:30 with musical selections from the Marengo Civil War Band, following the music, Sarah Uthoff will portray "Laura" circa 1894 writing from her home in Mansfield. The program will be repeated at 3:00.
