Federal Reserve Foreclosure Avoidance Scam Ad
This new 30-second advertisement was produced to direct consumers to free resources on avoiding foreclosure scams at www.federalreserve.gov. These resources include the "5 Tips for Avoiding Foreclosure Scams" and other consumer and mortgage foreclosure resources. The ad debuted in movie theaters across nine U.S. states in mid-April 2009. The states, selected based on a high incidence of foreclosure, included Arizona, California, Florida, Georgia, Maryland, Nevada, Ohio, Michigan, and Virginia.
