Instructions for Submitting Comments Regarding CFTC Hearings on Speculative Position Limits in Energy Futures Markets
Members of the public may submit comments to the Commission regarding the issues discussed at hearings held on July 28 and 29, and August 5. The comments must be received by the close of business Wednesday, August 12.
It is strongly suggested that comments be emailed to the commission through the address energyhearingcomments@cftc.gov. (Comments via regular mail may be addressed to: Office of the Secretariat, Commodity Futures Trading Commission, 1155 21st St., NW, Washington, DC 20581. Writers should be mindful of the August 12 deadline.)
To ensure the comments are recognized as pertaining to the hearings, emails must include in the subject field the words “Energy Hearing Comments.” Letters to the commission must also have the words “Energy Hearing Comments” on the front of the envelope and in a conspicuous location on the first page.
