  • Obligated 100% of formula-based funds ($255 million) allocated for the Native American Housing Block Grant Program
  • Obligated 100% of formula-based funds ($3 billion) allocated for the Public Housing Capital Fund
  • Launched www.HUD.gov/Recovery webpage
  • Allocated nearly 75 percent, or $10.11 billion, of HUD's total Recovery Act funds across 7 programs
  • Announced temporary increase to the Federal Housing Administration's maximum loan limit, allowing FHA to insure larger mortgages at a more affordable price in high-cost areas of the country
  • Established a major partnership with the Department of Energy that will streamline and better coordinate federal weatherization efforts to make it much easier for families to weatherize their homes
  • Published CDBG Notice in Federal Register on 5/5/2009.
  • Published Public Housing Capital Fund (competitive) NOFA on 5/7/09.
  • Re-launched HUD.gov/recovery website on 5/8/09.
