Langevin Announces Staff Changes

(Warwick, R.I.) Congressman Jim Langevin (D-RI) today announced that his Deputy District Director, Timothy DelGiudice, will be leaving his post as of June 1 to take a position at Raytheon in Portsmouth, RI.

Langevin’s current press secretary, Joy Fox, will be named Director of Communications and Community Outreach, taking over most of DelGiudice’s duties while continuing in her capacity as press liaison.

“I am delighted that Raytheon has recognized Tim’s talents, and I know he will be a tremendous asset to their team,” said Langevin. “He has been a valued member of my staff since I came to Congress in 2000. His hard work and dedication will be missed.”

DelGiudice began working for Congressman Bob Weygand in 1997. During Weygand’s tenure DelGiudice worked as a case worker, field representative and director of constituent services. When Langevin won the Second Congressional District seat in 2000, DelGiudice became the deputy district director. From 1998 through 2000, DelGiudice also worked as a member President Bill Clinton’s advance team.

“It has been an honor to work for the US House of Representatives for over 10 years,” said DelGiuduce. “More importantly I was honored to be a trusted member of both the Weygand and Langevin teams.”

Joy Fox has worked for Congressman Langevin since 2005.  A graduate of Rhode Island College, Fox most recently handled media relations for the Rhode Island Department of Corrections. Prior to her employment at Corrections she worked in the Rhode Island media, including the Cranston Herald, Providence Business News and WJAR.

“Joy has great ideas and great energy, and I am excited for her to take on these new responsibilities,” Langevin continued.
