The 11th Annual NIH Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) Conference will be held June 30-July 1, 2009, in Omaha, Nebraska. 

This year’s annual conference, hosted by the Nebraska Business Development Center, will focus on “Transforming Medicine Through Innovation.” It encompasses two full days of in-depth information about the NIH SBIR and STTR programs including funding opportunity identification, application preparation and electronic submission, post award administration, and transitioning into the marketplace.

Highlights of this year’s program:

• Scientific Poster Presentations by NIH SBIR and STTR awardees and university researchers
• An In-depth Look at Electronic Submission using Grants.gov and the NIH eRA Commons
• Workshops on Indirect Costs & Audit Requirements
• Identifying and Negotiating University Partnerships
• Strategies for Raising Capital and Developing Partnerships
• Navigating the FDA
• One-on-one meetings with program and grants management staff from many of NIH’s Institutes and Centers and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
