| Chesapeake Bay Report Card Shows Improvements, Degradation The University of Maryland Center for Environmental Science and EcoCheck, a NOAA-UMCES partnershop, have released the Bay report card for 2008. Overall, the health of the Bay earned a C-. A new stream health indicator was introduced, and report cards for individual tributaries are available. |
| Reauthorization Bill Introduced in Congress On March 26, 2008, H.R. 1771, a bill to reauthorize the Chesapeake Bay Office of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, was introduced and referred to the House Natural Resource Committee.
