(Warwick, R.I.) Congressman Jim Langevin (D-RI) today voiced his support for his colleague Steny Hoyer in his bid for Majority Leader of the 110th Congress:

“I am proud to support Steny in his race for Majority Leader. Throughout my tenure in Congress, Steny has always been a strong supporter and friend. I have long admired Steny for his tireless work and advocacy on behalf of people with disabilities. He was instrumental in the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

“Over the last two years, Steny has also been a tireless leader of the Democratic Caucus. He and Speaker-elect Nancy Pelosi have committed endless amounts of time and energy to regain the Democratic majority that we now enjoy. These are challenging times, but also times of great promise, and I look forward to working with both Nancy and Steny to move our nation forward.”
