Green Jobs Platform for Solar Launched
Following January’s release of Toward a Just and Sustainable Solar Industry,
SVTC has launched our Solar Campaign and released the "Green Jobs Platform for Solar" supporting jobs that protect both the environment and workers.

Silicon Valley Toxics Coalition is launching its first ever video contest. Earth Day 2009 will mark the first day to submit videos that explain the importance of recycling e-waste, which contains many toxic chemicals, responsibly for the chance to win $500.

Delayed Regulation of Emerging Technologies
SVTC’s report "Regulating Emerging Technologies in Silicon Valley and Beyond" compared the lack of regulation in the emerging nanotechnology industry to that of the semiconductor industry before the mid 1980s.
